Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Contact Sheet mobile application (the "App") on iOS or Android, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The Service
Contact Sheet is a photography critique app that lets you submit photos from your device to third-party AI services (OpenAI on iOS, Google Gemini on Android) and receive a written critique, score, and optional annotated image in return. The App optionally supports backing up your data to your personal cloud storage (iCloud Drive on iOS, Google Drive on Android).
3. Your Content
You retain all rights to the photos you submit through the App ("Your Content"). You grant us no ownership interest in Your Content. By submitting a photo for critique, you acknowledge that:
- The photo will be transmitted to the third-party AI provider for analysis.
- You have the right to submit the photo (you own it, or have permission from the rights holder).
- You are solely responsible for Your Content.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Submit content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Submit content that is illegal, sexually explicit, or depicts minors in a harmful context.
- Submit content intended to harass, threaten, or defame any person.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code or model weights from the App.
- Use the App in a way that violates the terms of any third-party service the App relies on (OpenAI, Google, Apple).
We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms.
5. AI-Generated Critiques
Critiques, scores, and annotated images produced by the App are generated by third-party AI systems. They are provided for educational and inspirational purposes only and:
- May contain errors, omissions, or subjective judgments.
- Do not constitute professional photographic, artistic, or commercial advice.
- Should not be treated as a guarantee of quality, marketability, or technical correctness.
6. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services including, but not limited to, OpenAI, Google (Gemini and Drive), Apple (iCloud), and Google AdMob. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of any third-party service.
7. In-App Purchases and Ads
The App may offer in-app purchases and display rewarded advertisements. All purchases are processed by Apple or Google through their respective app stores and are subject to the store's refund and billing policies. We do not process payments directly.
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is collected and how it is handled.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the developer of Contact Sheet be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 3, 5, 9, 10) will survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date above indicates when the Terms were most recently changed.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless another forum is required by applicable consumer protection law.
